Emergency Poisoning Procedure – Dog

 

If you suspect your dog has ingested any toxic substances, the first thing to do is induce vomiting.

 

Types of poison include: - 1080, Talon, Slug Bait, Pest Off.

 

  1. Place a small amount of Washing Soda down the dog’s throat to make it vomit. 
  2. If no vomiting occurs in 15 – 20 minutes, re-administer a small amount of Washing Soda again if unable to get to a vet clinic soon.
  3. Contact your vet as soon as possible.
