Operating a greener business is not only good for the environment but good for the Vet Clubs bottom line because conserving resources and cutting down on waste saves money.

 

Recycling is the first thing that comes to mind when we think of being environmentally friendly. And recycling is important. But recycling is only one part of the environmentally friendly business equation. We can also take a large step towards being more environmentally friendly by reducing the amounts of waste in our offices and business operations.

 

At Clutha Vets we are aiming to:

 

• Reducing the amount of paper and mail shots we send out each month.
• Send all flyers along with your monthly statement.
• Turn off equipment when it's not being used.
• Encourage communications by email.
• Reduce fax-related paper waste by using computer based faxing of documents.
• Produce double-sided documents whenever possible.
• Ensure our fleet of vehicles are well maintained and serviced to reduce carbon emissions.
• Use energy efficient heating controls in our buildings.
• Recycle waste paper.          
• Coordination of vet calls to reduce mileage.
